Enforcement Directorate has arrested Ashish Kakkar, a cyber fraudster, who is the kingpin of a syndicate involved in the generation, layering and siphoning off Proceeds of Crime (PoC) to the tune of Rs 4,978 crore generated from various cyber-crimes and online gaming ongoing all over India during the period 2020 to 2024.
In Ghazipur of Delhi, at least one woman died and 6 others were injured after a car hit several people on Wednesday late evening. It is learnt that a woman got killed in the mishap while several shoppers got injured as a car ploughed into a crowded market place in Delhi.
The injured are under treatment in Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital. The car driver is also injured and is undergoing treatment. The police have taken him into custody and legal action is being taken, says Delhi Police.

Kin of Wayanad college student JS Sidharth, who reportedly died by suicide, alleged that he was tortured to death by the SFI members and expressed apprehension that the probe could be sabotaged because of political intervention.
