GET A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP... Sleep has been proven to quite possibly be the
most important physical factor that affects test performance. Researchers
in the UK recently tested over 600 first-year college students to try to
discover just how impactful sleep can be on test performance.
Here at The Ladder Method, we have resolutions! As a team, we have
collectively decided our resolution to be “Slow Down.” You may be wondering
what “slowing down” actually looks like: It means taking a step back. It
means taking a moment to put our best foot forward. It means creating
quality over quantity work.
We think that we all can agree with the fact that life isn’t exactly a bed of roses: every day holds new challenges and obstacles that you’ve got to overcome. Even the average individual tends to get tired and overwhelmed with the persistent effort of trying to keep it all together and not crumble with exhaustion. Imagine having to go through the demanding rituals of life as a person with weak executive functioning skills.
More and more moms are coming to our office with concerns and questions
about how and what to do to set their child up for success in PRE-SCHOOL!
The trend in LA and NYC is that where you send your child has a big impact
on their ultimate trajectory. With all that pressure, it is becoming as
competitive as putting your child into college.
The degree of executive function development is not the same in all children. For students with deficits, additional support in the classroom may help strengthen their executive functioning skills.
